Choose from the heart. In 3 syllables, the heart knows.
The heart is your inner compass. You are so well equipped. Yet the noise of the outside world, conditioning, and layers of distortion can make it hard to hear, difficult to discern the beating of your own heart.
The heart center, Anahata, in Sanskrit means unstruck sound—the origin and infinite potential of all sound. In the vibratory universe/multiverses we inhabit, everything is vibration.
That means everything has a song, even if our human nervous system is incapable of hearing it. But if we get real quiet, real slow, gentle aware, we can experience the song and sense the subtle vibration of it all—whatever we tune into.
We can experience the gratitude of things.
First step is to get curious about what it is we’re tuning ourselves to. Journal about it.
What have you done this past week/month that brings you joy/bliss? What has felt draining?
How do you feel (drained or energized) after spending time with…/listening to…/watching…/consuming…?
Pisces, watery deep, spiritual last sign of the zodiac, signals the gift of inner knowing, plumbing the depths, and bravely letting go of something so ripe for release. This full moon may stir up the waters of the planet and our emotions. It’s related to healing, creativity, dreaming, expressing the energy in motion (emotions), deep spirituality, re/connection to our authentic Self.
Eclipses are portals of transformation.
The partial lunar eclipse of September 17 peaks at 10:34pm ET. In Pisces, it is truly is a symbol of rebirth, especially the cycle of ending. To begin afresh requires the letting go of who we thought we were in order to become more deeply who we already are.
In today’s culture, birth is storied as painful and scary. It’s a good metaphor for how we give away our power and tune out the wisdom of our heart. The cultural story of birth doesn’t only fray birthing mothers, it impairs anyone in a cycle of letting go & beginning anew.
We have been systematically cut off from our innate inner wisdom and taught—through generations—to distrust ourselves. The egg that bloomed you was created in your mother’s mother’s womb.
I’ll talk birth stories and how pain wasn’t my experience another day. Do you want to hear more about that? Leave a comment and let me know!
In April this year the full solar eclipse in sidereal Pisces, started the process and invitation to deepen self-love. It revealed the shadow energy of things you may have been in denial about.
If you have been feeling in a state of deep transition, maybe not even clear on why or what that shift will be, know that you are not alone. Everything is here for you and your greater growth and unfoldment.
Over the next few days, through the eclipse and leading up to the autumnal equinox on September 22—finding balance in letting go, esp, releasing control—consider taking on mini projects of surrender. Clear out one drawer, corner, or digital folder a day. Keep it small and doable.
As uncomfortable as it may be, that which no longer feels aligned nor elevates you is ready to be severed completely. In Vedic astrology, we don’t recommend viewing eclipses (though sometimes—with deep reverence—I do). This one, though, I strongly encourage you to set aside some time to go within, clear out the gunk, set intentions, and look forward—heart open, head held high.
Choose from the heart. Get quiet enough to hear its whispers, and trust yourself.
You’ve always known. You may not have heard the song of certain energies and relationships in your life clearly. Or else you doubted your knowing and sacrificed yourself in second guessing and wishing. Sometimes our discernment is clouded by our desiring the potential of a thing, rather than seeing what is.
Remember everything is here for you; it’s all a gift. And whatever is in our lives, we are choosing. Use this time to face the shadows. Get clear on what it is you’ve been choosing that isn’t serving you.
Looking at this eclipse is like looking back and getting back mired in the goo of metamorphosis, from which you’re about to wing free. If you do view it, do so ceremonially in the spirit of letting go.
Let this be a time of introspection, deep honoring of all your parts—your inner child, your embodied children, your aspects, your relationships—those you wave farewell to and those where your heart swells and grace sparkles in the eye. Fly. Smile. Soar.
What endings are falling away for you at the moment?
